Research & Planning: Magazine review one

When you look at this magazine cover the first thing you see is the central image of a famous female pop singer Tulisa. I believe that the image of Tulisa is being represented as powerful and confident. The way her arms are above her head, her beautiful smile and her sparkly dress makes her look sexy, this is probably why she is the first thing you see and why the person who has made the magazine has made this happen.
A lot of things on the cover page tell us that this magazine is aimed for mainly females. Such as the usage of the colour pink also the story lines. For example 'make him notice you' 'look like Selena and Cher' 'omg JLS confess everything!' these all seem like the story lines that would attract and audience of females. I think this because males would not want to know how to make 'him' notice you, males would not want to look like Selena and Cher and then why would males want to know gossip about JLS. So I believe that the audience for this magazine are female teenagers.
This magazine cover has stuck to three colours, pink, white and dark blue. The background is white with the pink and blue on top of it, this is good because then everything will stand out and will be clear to read. Also pink and blue are very different colours so you can see where items have been separated. Everything is clear and easy to read.
Like any other typical magazine the Masthead it going along the top of the magazine in bold text. Then there is the central image like i have already stated, then around the central image are story lines, this is just the way people imagine the cover of a magazine.
