Research & Planning: Indesign tutorial

  • Fist I found a review of the film the dark night rises and then copied and pasted it into a word document.
  • I then saved an image off the review to my desktop.
  • I opened Indesign and went to layout and created guidelines for my text.
  • I then went to place and selected the word document that had the film review in and set it out onto the page, leaving room for a title and the image.
  • I then just simply dragged the image off the desktop into Indesign.
  • I used the Text tool on the left hand side to add the title. I changed the colour of the text by highlighting the text and choosing a colour.
  • To add an outline on the text I had to highlight the text and click stroke and change the colour and the width of the outline.
  • to add a background I simply used the rectangle tool, hanged the colour and made a rectangle the size of the page.
  • I then had to click on the rectangle and had to go to object, arrange and then use send back.
